Title: Preiser 1/144 figures
Post by: Sunray on 01 October 2015, 08:38:46 PM
As any one purchased or used the 1/144 scale Preiser figures?

I was thinking of three particular sets - 77101 USAF pilots/groundcrew, 77100 NATO pilots/groundcrew and 77104 WW2 German tank crew.

In terms of scale they should come in round about 12mm and could be useful - not only for 'what's  said on the tin' - but as personality or command figures.  Some packs work out at .60p per individual figure as opposed to the 15p we pay for Pendraken, so not a product we wargames are going to bulk buy.  Available from Gaugemaster.

The 77101 Airline crew pack has a couple of nice Airline Captain types in double-breasted uniforms which with a simple paint job- and removal of flight bag,  could pass for Royal Navy senior ranks.

From what I've seen of Preiser figures, they are much more realistically proportioned than metal figures, so may look a bit odd amongst normal wargames stuff.
