Title: Magazine article published with Pendraken figures
Post by: Norm on 25 September 2015, 09:55:37 AM
Miniature Wargames (October) issue 390 hits the shelves today. It includes a submission I made using Pendraken 10mm Sci-fi figures and Kallistra hexes (though squares or open boards could be used).

the article has a background, 3 linked scenarios and a set of rules.

Aliens have landed in tghe UK and a specialst force is sent to deal - can they 'contain' the aggresive alien warrior in the town?

Well done Norm, looks to be some other interesting stuff in the issue as well =D>

How does it feel to be a "wargames veteran" :-\

Norm

Excellent article! Quick question: if one is not using hexes, what would you set the various movement rates and weapon ranges to?

- Neil.

Despite having this magazine I managed to miss this article, and looking at the stuff listed on the cover, some of the other articles too. I will go and find it and have more of a read.

Thanks all,

Neil, my hex terrain is 4" per hex, so I would just do a straight conversion of 1 hex is 4" for an open table. That would keep the playing area down to the same 3' x 2' space. For occupation levels (up to 3 bases per hex per side), I would ignore that and just work out close combats on a 'base touching base' principle.
