Title: British 5.5" medium artillery battery
Post by: marshall1945 on 13 September 2015, 06:55:27 PM
Just completed the last few stands for this - ended up doing two sets of guns and so I compare Arrowhead and Pithead models in the post

Ah the heady days of early FOW, when no one knew quite how lethal a 5.5" battery could be!
Nice units. Well painted, great assembly guide. 8)

That's a lot of big guns!!

I've got 4 of the Minifigs ones - which look rather crude in comparison to these newer ones. But they rarely get on the table, so I think they will do.

The Arrowhead ones do look good, but I'm not sure I could be doing with that many parts to assemble  :-\

no, if I didn't have them already I woudl not have chosen to go out and get them. Despite looking really nice I have enough to do without having to spend that long making one gun - on the plus side you do gain quite a bit on clean up time as Arrowhead need very little cleaning
