Softening the blow of my horrendous previous week a couple of packages ordered before the chaos thumped onto my doormat today.
First up the Taurians. 60x30 bases.
Force comprises:
1 Chieftain
1 Shaman
8 Units of Minotaur Warriors
2 Units of Centaur Knights
2 units of Centaur Warrior

1 Unicorn unit
Nice one Nosher! Look forwards to these (and no doubt you'll beat me to completion)!
Undercoated the army today :)
Looking forward to seeing them, Nosher !! :)

I'd love to see the Knights come with separate wire lances like to Polish Winged Hussars. I detest spaghetti lances!!
Looking good :)
Nice. I've found the lances for the Centaurs fairly robust, they are a decent thickness. Certainly compared to some of the historical cav.
Very cool Nosher! :)
Looking good, Nosher. 8)
Cheers - Phil.
The Chieftain, Shaman and three units of warriors are very close to completion. Only the weapons and shields to do.
These have been a hoot to paint. Really enjoyed doing them. :)
A hoot ? :o
But really pleased you enjoyed doing them, Nosher. ;)
Cheers - Phil
The core force completed ;)
Rhino's, Unicorns and Pegasi to complete.
I have enough figures to do a second Taurian Warband and will try to theme them slightly differently.

All the optional units now done and sat waiting on another order to make a second Taurian Warband ;)

Given a second Taurian Command Unit arrived with my new Goblin Army order, today seemed like the opportune moment to make a start on my second Taurian Army using the left overs from the boxed set.
This army is going to be based on a Minotaur heavy force. Darker, more sinister Minotaurs with a Mercenary element of Chieftain-less Minotaurs. I will also be running this warband without a Shaman as I have been finding that the Taurian Shaman is a bit of a points drain.
For the core, I'm going with a very dark flesh tone and as dark a paint pallette as I dare. The Mercenary Minotaurs will be painted in four different flesh tones, from Elf Flesh, through dwarf flesh to tanned skin and finally dark flesh to represent them being drawn from a multitude of herds.
I have all the flesh tones done ready to make a start on the loin cloths and, weapons and accoutrements sometime next week after my next run of shifts.
Pics when a little bit more complete
Nice plan
Renegade Taurians and Leaderless Mercenary Taurians, outcasts from various herds, drawn by the lure of pillage and loot.

Just flocking and clump foliage to add
Belting !! :-bd

Toptastic Nosher!
Liking those a lot, the dark red skin tone works very well.
