Title: 1897 Greeks
Post by: KTravlos on 02 September 2015, 08:56:23 PM
So which ranges would you use to represent the Greek line infantry in 1897 (the guys in jackets and kepis in the pictures, dark blue on light blue). My feel is that the Pacfici War infantry in Kepi and Jacket would be perfect. Others have told me about Wuttemburgians or Danes, but their jackets are long, the greeks one being closer to shell jackets.

The little tufts on the kepi would not be worn in battle.

Wurttemberg would do well, or even Brunswick from the 1870 range.

Not sure about those Brunswickers. Their coats are rather longish.

Mmmm, dunno about that Lemmey, the Wurtemburg hat is more like a ski cap than a kepi ... unless the Greeks had an Alpine unit  :D
