Evening all,
Whilst meandering through the web for inspiration I found this picture which are claimed to be Pendraken "WWII German 150mm infantry guns":
from http://leadnobleed.blogspot.co.uk/2010_10_01_archive.html (http://leadnobleed.blogspot.co.uk/2010_10_01_archive.html)
Are they Pendraken and can anyone identify the code please?
Cheers!
Meirion
It certainly looks like the 150mm IG code GR99

Thanks for the info, I shall see if I can find any other pictures for confirmation. Any idea if these are the same as SCW107 "German 150mm field gun"?
Cheers,
Meirion
PS Stupid question time, what does the IG stand for?! :-/
Don't think those are GR99
This is gr99, notice that the gun shield and carriage are diferent

Thanks Peter,
Yeah, it's fairly similar, but the gun shield on the unknown is far more sculpted and ornate. Also the definition on the barrel seems better, although that could just be the lighting/painting.
Hmm... :-\

The only gun i can google up with that kind of curved gunshield is a 105mm k 34, but it still doesn't look the same

Might be this?
http://www.pendraken.co.uk/GR217-p5633/
http://www.pendraken.co.uk/GR40-p4317/
The fact that the barrel is better defined on the one you show, might be because it's a slightly smaller caliber, hence smaller than the Support underneath. With the 150mm (gr99), the barrel is just as large, hence less detail where it 'meets' if you know what i mean
I think this is the gun, found a flames of war picture:
15cm Sig 33
(http://www.meeplemart.com/resize/Shared/Images/Product/15cm_sIG33_gun_Gebirgsjager.jpg?)
Off course, wich one it is in the catalog is a mystery, maybe this?

Think we need Leon for this!
IG is infantry gun!
Nevermind the guns .... what the heck are the things crewing them??!!

To be correct, the SIG stands for schweres Infanterie Geschütz

Yup, that looks like the one :-bd
Now to find the code... :'(
It's actually very confusing, The picture of my GR99 gun IS an SIG33 so there must be 2 versions in the catalogue.
But wich is what?
And i must say, if they are the same gun (my picture versus yours) , i must say the one looks better than the other, and is differently proportioned.
If you search for 150mm there are many, lots in the Spanish Civil War and WWI range too.
http://www.pendraken.co.uk/Search.aspx?Search=150mm&AllWords=False
There are 4 types if it really is a german one:
GR157 DAK 150mm IG with crew (2)
GR99 150mm IG with crew (2)
GR99a 150mm IG with crew, winter clothes (1)
GR216 150mm IG, early war crew (2)

Yup, Peter was just posting the picture to show the type of gun shown in the original picture. The blog post about the Quar said he'd used Pendraken 150mm German WWII guns, so now we just need to work out which code they are.
I think the sculpting on the shield looks pretty spiffy so I'd rather go with them if possible over the more bland GR99 :)

Yup, they look mental cool! 8-}
Might have to get some of those as well ;)
I've just checked with Dave on this one and while it is similar to our GR99 code, it's not one of our guns unfortunately.

Nope, it's the Battlefront one peter and I posted.
If you want *that* gun you need to go to the Flames of War store and find code GE555.
The Pendraken 150mm SIG is very nice, however, and looks more like the ones I've seen pictures of. I have a couple of the 75mm ones lurking around somewhere.

Nope the Battlefront picture was only posted because we where unsure of wich gun it was, and it matched the gunshield so i used it as an example.
It i not the same gun as the OP as the vision whole is open on the battlefront one and sculpted on on the OP picture

Okay, fair enough.
By the by, can we just confirm we are talking about the gun in the original picture and not the Flames of War one?! ;)
So, if it's not Pendraken, GR99 is probably the closest. What about GR216 or SCW107?
Cheers!

I think they could be from chariot miniatures:
http://www.spur-n.com/fahrzeug16/chariotger503.jpg
But the angle of the piccie is not great, and there is no picture on the magister militum site. Wich wonderously didn't freeze the third time i tried it.
I just hate those new 'thick what you like ' sites.
We wouldn't have these with us on the stand, we do carry a few artillery pieces, but it tends to be the popular stuff like the German 88's, etc. We can always bring some along though, just drop me a message.
