Tournament scenes, fresco in the Palazzo Comunale di San Gimignano, Italy, attributed to Azzo di Masetto (http://www.warfare.altervista.org/13/San_Gimignano.htm)

They have poleyns, schynbalds and plate cuisses and epauler on the shoulders.
