Title: Day of Defeat Minis
Post by: G-wiz on 31 August 2015, 08:42:19 AM
Hi guys, i'm looking for some minis to represent the different classes used in the pc game, Day of Defeat. The two sides being
Allies and the Axis, or preferably the British v Germans.
The classes are Sniper, Assault, Support, Bazooka, Medic, Machine Gun. I'm also looking for some skirmish rules that would suit small squads made up of these classes using a similar playstyle to the pc game, eg, controling certain objectives for a number of turns to them have control of that area and progress to dominat the map/area.
Any help would be great.

Cheers, i'll check it out.
I forgot to add rifleman to the list. I've had a quick look through the army lists in the store and found most that would be suitable, just a few more to find. There's quite a few without pictures so i'll have another go later.

most of those should be fairly easy to find in the WWII British and German lists.

What does the 'Support' unit do in the game - would a mortar work for that?

Medic is probably the hardest one to find a good figure for - there are some stretchers and medics in the WWI accessories range - but they probably aren't quite right for a medic following a platoon.

Most platoon based medics would at most of only carried a backpack.
But more likely a satchel bag on one hip.
The thing that would of identified them would of been a Red Cross armband.
Google Band of brothers medic for an idea.
So any soldier could be a medic all you need to do is paint an armband.
Also what time frame 1940 weapons were different from 1945
The main problem is that most of Pendraken comes in packs of 10 so 10 riflemen, 10 SMG, 3 platoon support weapons and so on.
