There has been some discussion elsewhere about using different base sizes, most recently here: http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11490.msg174249.html#new (http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,11490.msg174249.html#new)
I really like the "epic" unit size that the 100x50 base gives and I'm planning my second 10mm Pendraken force at the moment (roll on payday) but I also have a few Irregular Miniatures 6mm fantasy figure strips (yes, sacrilege) so I'm tempted to put together a couple of 6mm armies on 40x20 bases. The epic feel will be lost but I'll be able to use a much smaller board for quick games at home.
If I ever get this project off the ground I'll post some pics.
Cheers, Andy
6mm look great on 60mm frontage if you are still looking for the epic feel.
I think I'm going to need a few more figures (isn't that the warcry of every wargamer?)
Every gamer needs a few more figures. I've just discovered that I almost have one brigade of 1866 Austrians. I need four for a corps, and 8 for a viable campaign.
