The neighbours shake their heads ruefully as I check the postbox....
Dare I ask....? :D
2274 is a long way off yet.
Not as long as you think, it's 21:55 as I write.
21:58 here...
But you won't get to 2274
That danmed cat still mewling about his parcel ?

Sometimes, probably about the same times as you do taking the time difference into account!
Well, I'm off to the 'Land of Nod', see you both in six.
Went out to fancy restaurant for birthday lunch; returned home to postbox which continued to be a seriously demilitarised zone.
The postbox resembles the Monty Python cheese shop in some ways. And has done since 19th July. :'(
Oh, frabjous day! A neighbour has just toddled over to give me this morning's delivery! Guess what it was?
I could almost hug Ian at this stage. :):):):):):):):)
Was it a tax rebate?
I hope for his own safety he didn't tell you it had been deliverd a week ago but he had forgotten about it.

Steady on - Thats a bit much for this forum to take.
I Ordered some buildings once and they had not turned up some 6 weeks later. I had left it a while as the company was a small one. i called them and they said"we posted them 5 weks ago. Can you send us a written statement that you have not recieved them and we will calim off teh post office and send you some more."
I did as requested and the buildings turned up very quickly. I had them all painted and assembled and I was very pleased. some 8 weeks later I was walking to my car in the flat carpark and the lady downstairs came over .
Lady downstairs : You live in flat number 8? (my car was parked in bay 8 )
Orcs :-Yes, can I help?
L.D I have a parcel for you?
You can guess what it was. contacted thevsaid company and they said "Post office has paid us for them, please keep them"
It was a nice result , but I had a hard time not exploding at the lady downstairs - she had kept my parcel for almost three months !!! >:(
The neighbour in question is a dear old granny with a sweet smile even by Thai standards; and the delivery was this very day.
Bet you find sumat else to moan abart....
IanS ;)
You still here?
Good to hear it's arrived now, there must have been some anarchic pacifist at the customs desk who wanted to delay your fun.

That might be going a bit far. Although a naked South African embracing a grumpy Scouser might move international relations forward a good 20 years.
