Title: Name my ACW battlefield features
Post by: Last Hussar on 23 August 2015, 04:26:57 PM
Quote"...the 21st century town has slipped into obscurity, its modern claim to fame is for the fact that it is consistently placed on the wrong side of the West Virginia/Pennsylvania state border by map makers, and that it is the nation's largest producer of divorce lawyers. However in 1863 it was an important junction, and thus the clash between the Union Army of the Tygart Valley, and the Confederate Army of Western Virginia was inevitable."

Please suggest names for my ACW map – The town itself, farms, ridges, the river, etc. If you suggest a feature that doesn't exist I may well put it on. The map is 12 miles by 10, gridded to 1 foot on the table squares (76 x 60)

Feel free to be as serious or as silly as you like. Immortalise yourself, family, friends, co-workers, vilify your boss. Stealth puns are welcome.

All I ask is that on first glance it seems possible and not stupid.

I open it up now to the tender mercies of FSN etc...)

"Springfield"
There are many I think..  ;)

"cemetery ridge/hill/river" I always like this word in games set in these places.
"Old fool creek"
"wisdom", a town with cool people.

(edit for a typo)
