Back from lovely holi-bobs (apart from the place we were staying was a down market version of Stalag-Luft 17)!
Realised I'm in a horrible situation, and I know a lot of people are worse off (and this does not include unstarted stuff in the lead mountain), but there is an awful lot I have started this summer and not yet finished!
Including (but not in order of priority)
1) Two units of Polish Pike and Shot 100 figures
2) A unit of LOA Anglo-Dutch Danes to ink the base and paint, flock, tuft and flag! 50 figures
3) Another LOA Anglo-Dutch Danes unit that also needs flags. Easy to do at the same time as the other unit...
4) Four Mongol bases that need inking, painting and flocking and flags adding. 16 figures
5) Two units of Mongol heavy cavalry that have been converted and need assembly. 14 extra heavies plus 16 heavies.
6) Ten stands of Barbarians that are base coated and inked and need highlighting. c.70 figures
7) Four stands of assembled and undercoated Goblins c30 figures
8 )Thirty-Six Samurai to get four units up to FOGR size, which just need armour lacing and back banners doing before basing.
NIGHTMARE! :!! L-) :-& 8-} =O =O
To be honest the Poles will wait...
And all this before I can crack on with 32 Napoleonic 18mm French cavalry for a mate!
Wait .... is that all?? If only ....
Unless you need any of them for an upcoming game pick the one that needs the least time/effort to finish and get it done, repeat :)
The challenge is to avoid starting anything else until they are all done ;)
Mongols don't count as barbarians? :o
I share your pain/frustration :(
Base inking happening this morning as the girls sleep on.
You ink your children whilst they sleep?

Damn, you found it!
I tend to finish stuff off up to flocking the bases, leave them until there's a decent batch that needs flocking, then have a mass-flocking session. It sort of encourages me to get a good quantity of painting done, then I "reward" myself with completing a load all at once.
Good job somebody finished the boat project because there seem to be an awful lot of us in it!
Samurai got their flesh highlights and armour laces whitened, funky colours going on those tonight. 8-} @-)
And then I assembled sixty more...
Oops!
36 samurai are now in the 'almost done, just need mistakes sorting and then basing' stage!
Salve Grumio, I'm off to bed! :)
Indeed Sir. I'm despondent, and the wife is going to kill me for sure.
I actually said this to her yesterday: "Honey, I know, I know, I'm sorry. But I've got a big project I HAVE to start next weekend, so this is going to be a rough week. But I promise I'll take a break after this week."
Good grief...
V/R,
Jack
Good luck with that Jack! :)
Having lashed everything 40k into a box and thumped it into the loft, my own list is relatively small :)
Samurai done and bases pva/sanded. Phew! Progress being made.

Well done that man =D>
Samurai bases inked. Big basing batch with LOA Danes, Mongol cavalry and these on the way I feel!
Barbarian shaman stand assembled and undercoated.
Barbarian hordes flesh highlighted, picking up loads of details I'd missed in the hut on holiday, superb work Phil! Really liking the 'dressed' berserkers.
Mongol camp and two units of extra heavy cavalry assembled. Get these undercoated today I hope too. :)
Plus the painting cupboard tidied and a missing goblin wolf rider found! :D
It's all coming together. :)
Still itching to see pics of these converted Mongol EHC of yours.
They're next, after some of my mates Napoleonic cavalry! :)
Consolidated five old stands and the commander of trolls into two Warband bases.
Just need to sand and pva them when I do the barbarians and that gives the goblins a super heavy hitting option. :d
And now two of my bat stands (nananananananananananana bat stand) have also been rebased. :)
Your age shows in that un Lemmy...
IanS ;)
Mongols, LOA Danes and Samurai bases painted and PVA'd last night. Barbarians finished apart from basing.
EHC undercoated yesterday too.

Now I can crack on with the 32 Napoleonic 18mm French cavalry for a mate now, after a long weekend visiting my folks.
I'm just not going to list my unfinished projects ;D
I have 32 bases of 10mm dwarves to finish.
30 bases of Orcs
42 6mm vehicles to finish of my 1985 CWC 10th guards tank division
45 bases of infantry for said division
11 28mm figures for a zombie/terminator game.
And that's just in my hotel room lol
Regards
Sean

Dearie, dearie me. ;D
Cheers - Phil
Thread necromancy! 👻💀
Time to finally get on with Barbarian's Evil Men army, as I avoid more 15mm Cossacks and 10mm Spanish!
Which pyramid did you find this one in ?
There are no finished wargames projects, there are only temporarily* paused projects. The pause may be between conception and purchase, between purchase and painting, between starting painting and having painted all currently acquired models or between completion of current painting and acquisition of the new figures/ theatre/ scale. :)
*Temporarily - a period of time up to but not including the next Ice Age :)
<wipes a cobweb off his sleeve>
Awful dusty in here, but still nice to see someone find a "lost" project and put it on the paint desk. :)

I like your thinking.
I just wish i felt like that
Take care
Andy
There are no finished projects until a) Pendraken stop producing* or b) I have replicated every army, navy and air force in 1:1 or c) they prise the paintbrush from my cold, dead hand.
My platoon sized forces can become companies, my company sized units can become battalions, my brigades can become divisions.
:D
* Even then, after a period of mourning, I would find another supplier
