It sure was.  I was after an in-flight model but they all seem to be wheels down for some reason.  After butchering a very nice 1/72 version, went to the littler (and cheaper) ones  :(

Nice! I remeber having a 1/72 one as a kid and the undercarriage was a challenge to say the least.

I made mine as in flight too, and the cut/paste job is fiddly to say the least!

Thanks for all the comments chaps.  Bought a pile of these little fellas with a view do doing an air combat game, needless to say the Wildcat is the only one done :-[
