i have just dug out a heap of 1/72 medieval knights from the shed. Haven't used them in 20 years. I'm a bit of a fan of the 100 years period and was hoping some one could point me in the right direction for some rules. I was thinking about siege battles, castles and using a large amount of figures. Most of the rules I've been looking at might take too long to play. All good ideas welcomed.
Hello FoF
My first stop for a new/resuscitated period is invariably the Free Wargame Wiki :-
http://freewargamesrules.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Medieval (http://freewargamesrules.wikia.com/wiki/Category:Medieval), 90 different sets of Medieval rules :).
There are some simple 100 Year War rules at http://www.angelfire.com/games3/jacksongamers03/Eric_100Y.htm (http://www.angelfire.com/games3/jacksongamers03/Eric_100Y.htm)

Would you consider using hexes - if so Kallistra have free medieval rules to download and they sell resin castle sections (for their 12mm range) that match their hex boards.
Thanks guys, I will investigate some more. I guess I was just being lazy and hoped I could use someone's tried and tested rules....
Cheapish set that gives a good game is Lion Rampant from Osprey.

I second Lion Rampant, great fun and quick to learn.
Lion Rampant. Great game.
Impetus gives a good game, as well!
Although I hear many good things about Lion Rampant - but isn't it more a skirmish set, esp. in larger scales with a couple of dozen figures per side at most?
Bout 50 figures - units are either 6 or 12, depending on what they are.
IanS
Fifty figures per side, presumably less if you go for better troops?
