Hello Dave
do you mean they will be available soon ?
@-)
Not quite, just come in from the designer so they'll need master moulding.
Oh, these sound good.
Photos would be ace.
Hello Dave
I knew that there must be a reason that I hadn't organised my new order yet (apart from the risk of being buried in a lead-alanche) :D :D.
Are the motorcycle and sidecar with or without crew? Can you gently prod Leon for pics.
If the Dragons Portés are the long awaited figures with Adrian, tunic and puttees I just might have to do a happy dance ;D ;D.
Cheers

Hello Dave
Well, that's disappointing, no happy dance then :(. Still, I can use the FM24/29s to bulk out the WW1 Italians (pretending to be Thais at the moment :), the FM24/29 will have to pretend to be a Madsen) and the motorcycles. I would have thought the Chasseurs would have been in boots or long gaiters rather than puttees :-\.
Cheers

I have still more figures to do such as engineers, anybody pics of French engineers in action and equipment? I can add extra figures in the Dragon portee style with puttees, did the french use a SMG at this stage in great numbers or was more a symbol of command?
ps I also have the masters of Laffly 6 wheel and the P107 converted to U304(f) light armoured personnel carrier.

Hello Dave
Haven't come across any pictures (apparently the lack of photos of this era is because the French weren't allowed cameras) but this post on Axishistory has oodles of information on engineers:-
http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=84380 (http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=84380)
At least it gives you the nomenclature in French for further searching, ie bataillon de sapeurs-mineurs d'armée.
Going on Jouineau uniform is pretty standard with normal infantry/fortress styles.
Cheers

Hello
Still haven't come across any photos of engineers.
But I did come across some other stuff:-
Some French 75mm truck artillery from Morocco and Tunisia:-
(http://www.mvcgfrance.org/menu3/Dossiers/11maroc.jpg) (http://www.mvcgfrance.org/menu3/Dossiers/02croquismaroc.gif)
which didn't seem to be very successful :). http://www.mvcgfrance.org/menu3/Dossiers/Dossiers1942Maroc.html (http://www.mvcgfrance.org/menu3/Dossiers/Dossiers1942Maroc.html)
Maybe some new refugees are required:-
(http://cdn.theatlantic.com/static/infocus/ww2_3/s_w41_06141149.jpg)
"A tandem bicycle carries a whole Belgian family of four with some of their belongings strapped to their backs, as they flee from the advancing Nazis into France, on June 14, 1940."
Or maybe some rural scenes:-
(http://cdn.theatlantic.com/static/infocus/ww2_3/s_w10_03270453.jpg)
"The Royal Irish Fusiliers of the British expeditionary forces come to the aid of French farmers whose horses have been commandeered by the French Army. A tank is hitched to a plow to help with the spring tilling of the soil on March 27, 1940."
Both pics from here - http://www.theatlantic.com/photo/2011/07/world-war-ii-axis-invasions-and-the-fall-of-france/100098/ (http://www.theatlantic.com/photo/2011/07/world-war-ii-axis-invasions-and-the-fall-of-france/100098/)

Since when has it been ok to make 'funny' remarks about refugees?
Good point, well made Steeleye. =D> I absolutely agree.

Could I ask which AA guns you're making? Incidentally, more than enough information on French SPAA is available from http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=81476 (http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?t=81476)
I'm hoping to rig up something like these:-
(http://pangea-systems.com/wwiiws/vehicles/SPAA/unidentified_02.jpg)
I think my modelling skills can handle the rope to tie the AA gun to the chassis :).
Cheers

I thought they were riding a bike?
I was going to make a comment.
But, instead I thought, why did they name a railway speed icon after a duck? :-\
