Title: making a 'smart' ruin with a dash of nostalgia
Post by: Norm on 08 June 2015, 08:40:26 AM
Finding an old plastic kit diorama for 1/76 that once 'done up' looks good and could also be used for 15mm and frankly even 10mm, if you accept the doorway is just / was a magnificent entrance. It fits on two my Kallistra hexes and the road width matches my S&A Scenics roads.

That was a nice 'How To'. Amazing what you can find.

Very nice end result. But do you think the plastic base was useful - it looks like you scratch built so much you could have started from scratch, and ended up with a great result too.

But perhaps having something to inspire and guide the build is more important - just having a sheet of blue foam doesn't mean that it gets made into anything!

I'd have kept the bird for battles in areas controlled by the Nazis.
