Title: 15mm Warrior ACW figures
Post by: Orcs on 05 June 2015, 12:30:24 PM
Been investigating ACW, and due to 95% of my club using 15mm looks like thats the way I will have to go.

I have seen several favourable comments here on Warrior Miniature Nappys.  Does anyone have any experience of their ACW range. Are the sculpts any good? Are they compatible size wise wth other ranges eg  Peter Pig or Essesx?

What are they thinking? So much 10mm ACW goodness.  :D

I have had them and quite liked them. They are excellent value and easy to paint, but, if memory serves correctly,  in the army pack there are a group that have long coats that make them look very different from the rest of the army pack - If I were doing that again, I would ask them to swap out those figures for others in just tunic and pants.

Its historic, They have all collected it in 15mm for Fire and Fury.  I liek the ruleset and wanted to do it in 10m,m, but that means collecting both sides and all the terrain. Sunjester amd LH do use 10mm but they are based for and play "Black Powder"

So I am a little snookered

But Black Powder can be played with any base configuration. Why on earth didn't they base for a variety of rulesets? My particular favourites in 15mm ACW are Peter Pig, with the Old Glory figures from Timecast (NOT the 18mm Blue Moon jobbies from OG UK) coming a close second. One of the advantages of 15mm is that PP, and  Freikorps both do lovely 6pdrs, essential for early war F&F Regimental scenarios.

Well, Essex ACW are pretty grim. There is something about them that just does not look ACW. You pays your money etc.
