Post by: Duke Speedy of Leighton on 23 May 2015, 08:44:40 AM
Finally got the bulk of these finished (you may have noticed a couple of slight detours in the last few years months, only the Chasseurs a Pied and General to finish now. Really enjoyed these after so long without painting any French FPW!

Lovely .... now you're going to punch me .... but why do your Turcos have white faces, shouldn't they be brown?

Some of the people on the North African coast are quite light skinned and many NCOs were native French. An ink of dark tone on some might be an idea.

Thanks for that Cameronian.
Excuses:
A) Because at 10mm, from 3', telling skin colour apart is almost impossible.
2) Moroccans/Algerians/Tueregs are generally pale skinned.
iii) I forgot!  :P

Very nice. I especially like the line inf base that has a skirmish line, a fighting line, and supports. Are you planning to do the whole of 1st Corps? Any more beyond that?

Chris

PS "Raoult", not "Raoust", n'est-ce pas?

Thanks for pointing that out Chris.
Yes, that is the plan to finish the Corps, already have the Guard, 2nd and Sixth.  8)
