Title: Command bags for 1866 armies
Post by: sfumato on 22 May 2015, 05:12:14 PM
We have tried the new rules set Bloody Big Battles and now my club is thinking about using Pendraken figures to make armies for the 1866 - 70 period. In trying to estimate how many bags of figures will be needed, :-/ we encountered the separate bags of command figures. We think the bags probably contain 30 figures but are not sure. We also wondered about the composition; the number of officers, flagbearers, and musicians. Can anyone can provide information?

Ten of each.
Make sure you ask for bare poles on standard bearers! ;)

This will look a spectacular project. May I suggest 6mm buildings to minimise the footprint as BBB has an awful lot of villages and towns in it as they provide valuable cover.

Two 1870 French infantry and two 6mm buildings. The St.Privat house is by Timecast.

Thank you both for your advice. I agree about the house sizes. We appreciate any other ideas that will help us get started.
