Title: Fire and Fury in 10mm
Post by: Orcs on 06 May 2015, 08:07:01 AM
Its probably been asked before but I am thinking of doing Fire and Fury in 10mm.

Any suggestions on base sizes, number of figs a base and any adaptations of the rules that are required to accomodate a smaller scale

Apart from the suggestions below, no adaptions needed, Orcs. Just use the same base sizes and measurements and cram as much stuff on them as you can.

Infantry - I would go for square infantry bases personally - oblong bases result in the strange situation of a unit in line being longer than in march column. Imagine you could easily get 5 or 6 figures (or even more?) on a 1" square base.
Dismounted cavalry markers - don't need to be as big as stated in the rules. My 15mm markers are smaller and only have 2 horses and 1 householder (I use the extra horses for markers in other rules).
Other markers, command bases - use your own discretion if unhappy with the rule sizes.

Property qualifications for admittance to the cavalry? ;) :)

D'oh! It's a fair cop, guv!

Bloody autocorrect again!  >:(

Still got time to 'modify' but I am not going to - unlike some people. Nobby.  :P

I wish I  had said that, James.

Hi Orcs

Fire & Fury - one of my all time favourite set of rules!

What Westmarcher said. Should look great with 10mm figures. I have my 15mm armies with mainly 5 figures a base and the odd 4 figure base. If I had discovered Pendraken in time I would have gone with 10mm.

Cheers Paul

Best ruleset ever.

We do it in 10mm with 1" x 1" bases containing 10 figures.  No rules amendments are neccessary.

Thanks for the Ideas and pictures.

Like the massed effect Luddite I am even more inspired.

The Idea was 10mm would be relatively inexpensive, using 3 figs on a 20 x 20mm base. But as the rest of the club use 15mm and Sunjester uses 30mm x30mm bases fo 10mm I either have to comply with them or do both sides.

Some more pondering and experimentation needed. Perhaps I had better include a couple of packs of ACW in the next order
