Hi Guys
I am thinking of doing a British Commando in 20mm for CoC.
For Normandy would the uniforms be the same as a standard infantry?
I am having trouble finding all the right figs for the to@e from one provider so I am thinking of fleshing them out with the infantry sorts.
Thanks
Simon
The answer is sort of....
Basic gear is the same but they would have bergans rather 38 pattern large packs, Thompsons rather than stens(although some would have a sten), and Browning Hi-Power rather than Weblys.

Berets may also have been in evidence.
Were there have some in Para smocks?

Going by the helmets in the bottom photo, could it be that they didn't wear Para smocks and these are commandoes meeting up with Paras or glider troops at Ranville (or somewhere else) in Normandy?
I've just checked and some Commandos were issued Denison Smocks, but that was later in the campaign.
They may also have leather jerkins WWI style
