Now that I am the proud owner of some of these fine castings, I discover that they have two sets of slings or string or rope to hold the fascine to the tank, or to prevent any Scottish infantry from nicking it. Can someone please help me with a 'how to put them together' sketch or even photo please.
Its not even a Centurian, it's a Churchill of course. But I remain baffled.

... and you think string will work? ;)
I hope your refering to the Churchill AVRE, otherwise FSN will begin whining about not getting the first copy of the centurion AVRE and we will never here the last of it !! :)
I was looking at the Churchill fascine and wondering ...
Here's a pic of the master sculpt:

Did find this in the catalogue though

On the picture of the master sculpt was the bits made to hold the fascine on the tank?
The tank I got with Fascine has the bracket for the fascine to lay on but not the top parts?
I was just going to use thread to hold it down!

Sean
You can see it on my blog under the 10mm Sword beach fourth photo down third or fourth in with the fascine in front.

I'll check with Dave on that one, as he casts the 20th C. stuff. If holdfast has got some, it looks like they might have just been missed during casting on your order.
Perhaps the Scots stole the rope but not the fascine? ;)
Lol Ithoriel
I'm a scot :o rather have the fascine lol I can make do with out them rope.
Overcome, adapt, improvise as my old Sgt Major used to say.

Many thanks Leon, that looks just right. I seem to recall that the hawser was released by firing an explosive bolt.
As a fellow Scot Sean, I can only surmise that they might have .... acquired something else they needed to secure :)
;D ;D ;D
I wouldn't be surprised.
