Just been having a read through and it is really well done, some interesting articles and even Nobby remains sane throughout his ramblings
You can find it here

My only slight negative is the font used , not sure about it and a bit hard to read in my opinion
Looking forward to number two though
Damned fine read.
Congratulations to the Editor.
Looks good, although a less fancy font would be an improvement...

Seconded. The font immediately types the mag as "fantasy", which would put me off at once. Times Roman or Arial would be a better choice.
Meh! I liked the font! Nice and easy to read.
To be fair the only bit that grabbed my attention enough to get me to read it was the piece by fsn, which I enjoyed.
Skimmed bits of the rest.
Good start, all the best for future editions.
I really liked the mag. :)
Just a few minor things. For the battle reports it would be good to have a clear list for each army along with a picture of each army before battle. The magazine should be more printer friendly- no off color, greenish paper/background. In the Game of Throne lists "INFANTRY" is spelled "INFANTRT" by mistake more than once. Peasants are costed at 21 points, they are 12 in the Dragon Men lists, so Im not sure if this is a typo.
Great magazine though!
Thank you.
Georgia is a good solid safe font.
That looks like Papyrus which is great for headings, but can be difficult to read as body text.
Great start to the ezine though Craig. Good luck with the enterprise! :-bd
Nice. :D
However like the others I found the font slightly off putting.
Otherwise fantastic
With the others re the font......But a damn fine 'Mag', Craig !
Congratulations. :-bd
Cheers - Phil
Brilliant job Craig, well done. I really like the extra Warband lists and hopefully look forward to seeing your LOTR ones.
Interesting beginning. I like the font, had no trouble at all reading it; sometimes Ariel or Times New Roman can get a bit samey because everyone uses them, nice to see something different. Bookmarked for future reference.
Brilliant effort, very well done.
Articals were all high quality and very interesting.
For me the font is OK. I found the picture on the front page a little blurred.
Very well done :) :) :) :) :)
When I first read the ezine it was on the laptop and the font wasnt great looking, just looked on the tablet a few minutes ago and it looks and is a lot more readable on that
Thanks guys I'll change the font next time if it helps, now that the massive effort of teaching myself code, word 2010, web design etc is done I'll pay closer attention to the editorial side of things, and yes for some reason it's far better on mobiles and tablets! God knows lol, it's the hard work of the contributors that really makes it, well done you guys, keep the content coming, I've got lots of ideas for the next issue
It was all rather good. Didn't mind the font at all. Well done all.
I really enjoyed reading it particularly liked fsn article. And the font was fine for me.
Take care
Andy
Well done all, an interesting read :)
I also particularly liked FSN's article, well done Nobby.
That's my reading for this morning!! m/
Downloads are going out at a fair rate of knots, better than expected!! All in 24hours. Thanks Pendrsken for the support and yo the contributors, response has been amazing
I have only skimmed it so far and it's definitely good and interesting!
I would echo the comments on the use of Papyrus, it is easily readable but frankly to my eye looks a tad unprofessional.
A couple of typos here and there but overall extremely solid!
As above. Hopefully contributors will come up with more historical articles as well.
Early days yet but deserves a round of applause for a reasonably good first issue. On the 3 out of 6 articles on Warband, I liked the first about the rules themselves, attention wandered on the Battle Report (sorry, my fault - I'm a historical fan) and I avoided the last in case there were any spoilers (way, way behind on my Game of Thrones viewing). If only one Battle Report per quarter, shouldn't impinge too much on the "Batreps" section on the Forum. Interesting to read fsn's journey to 10mm - would be interesting to read about other members' journeys (or would that usurp the role of "In the Line of Fire"?). No problems with the font and whilst not entirely against the 2 column format, I had a minor issue with having to scroll back up the page to read the second column (I suppose I could always try printing it for a leisurely read later). Well done and good luck. =D>
Hi all, time to turn my attentions to the ezine for the end of July. Apologies I've been busy with a project so not been active but I'm afraid I'm back! If anyone's got anything they'd like to share, terrain building, battle reports an army showcase would be nice. Let me know chaps. I'll make the suggested improvements to the ezine. We've got some minis to review from Microworld and a delicious rorkes drift to check out too. Some new releases and planned stuff from Leven minis, word is its fantasy stuff but didn't tell you that.

Ironduke - just explained the mat system, attempted to insert photos and it erased al my text. Will try again tomorrow as no time at present.
I miss the ezine! I ve been out of the hobby for several weeks!
good work! I like it!

The above mat was made using the lime green faux mink throw available through Amazon. It costs about £18. When I received mine I waited for a dry day and then threw it over the washing line. I then randomly sprayed it with acrylic matt sand and matt dark green and that's it. It is interesting to note, however, that it comes with the two sides of different lengths. The photo shows the short side, set up for a 6mm game, although the buildings shown are 3mm scale. I think this is the side that should be used with 15mm scale and below. The fur on the other side is twice as long and works well with larger figure scales.
I hope you can make use of this Ironduke as I am unable to post photos via email.
Thankyou Leman, great mat, really like the finished effect. I'm sure readers will like a cheap roll up alternative. Finished article would rival any commercial product.
