Title: Len Deighton's SS-GB
Post by: Steve J on 24 April 2015, 02:24:09 PM
Just read in the Radio Times that Deighton's 'SS-GB' is being filmed by/for the BBC next year. The writers are the chaps that penned James Bond's 'Skyfall', so could be good. Hope the production values are high...

Haven't read Deighton for years. He must be getting on now. Picked up the Michael Caine movies of The Ipcress File and Billion Dollar Brain on DVD a little while ago. Dated, but still rattling good yarns.

Funeral in Berlin is better than "Ipcress" or "Brain": Proper Cold War spying, everybody double crossing everybody else and no tech silliness.

Yes. Still on the lookout for it.
