I will be along as usual :)
Cheers
Ian
Not me. As last year too expensive to get to and get in. Rather spend the money on shinies.
I think we'll probably pop along... :D
Our club is running a Great Northern War game (Fraustadt, 1706) - we are table GF06.
Myself and Craig (Tinyterrain) are going. Dave Fielder is due to be there as well.
Junior ranks, I suppose.
We'll be there, as always. This year it's a A Town Called Malice a riotous wild west shoot-em-up that will probably mop up all the kids and a few of the dads too. If you fancy getting shot in the back, pop over and see us. We're on GG13 (how apt is that!). :) :) :)
Just copied what I wrote on another forum.
'...No, I won't be going. Went to Excel once and vowed I would never go again. My experience was tainted by the fact that It didn't seem to be a 'wargames show', rather a 'wargames cattle market'. Bad lighting, very hard flooring and in a place that you could lose a Saturn 5 moon rocket. It might well be called the UK's premier wargaming event but not for me. However, I would like to say I hope that everyone who does go has an enjoyable time...'
In addition to that the travel and entry costs wouldn't give me much change out of £50 even though, geographically speaking, I live less than an hour away.
Last year was my first visit, helped by the fact I got cheap train tickets (£14.50 each way from Darlington to Kings Cross). This year the cheapest was £40+ each way so unfortunately I am not going :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(
I'm not going this year stuck in Grafenwoehr Germany.
Playing with 1:1 scale modern American tanks and Vehicles :D
Regards
Sean
I'll be going as usual - stuff to collect and what not.
£40 from Darlington looks cheap, if you drive to Northallerton it'll cost you £98 - ain't that weird!

I agree with all you say Subedai about the floor, lighting etc.
The Organisers say they connot do anything about this without charging a lot more for entrance and Stands.???
I find the display games very inspiring, some of the 28mm Japanese games have been breathtaking. That is why I go, shopping I can do online.
Cheers

I'm playing Toy soldiers in the Sunday, so I'm not going.
Have fun all.
I will give it a miss, just not worth the cost in travel, instead will be going to Triples, nearer, cheaper, quicker. :)
Good luck to all those going, and of course to Leon, Dave, and any others from Pendraken (don't know if Dave attends the shows).

Yep, there'll be me, Dave, Adele, Cliff and Saba on the stand this year. Not sure yet if there'll be space for us all, but we'll figure it out!
Figure it out ?
Appalling pun. ;)
Hope you all have a brilliant time. !
Cheers - Phil

I'm sure Dave will be busy networking, so that should give the rest of you a bit more space ;)
Hi Dave, Leon etc
Yep RealTime will be there doing some battles of the opening phase of Great War using Pendraken figures (of course). Stand GC11.
Seems to be quite a few 10mm games this year, which is great for the hobby and us 10mm gamers.
As such a busy show probably won't have time to visit them except for a quick glance.
As its Salute also picking up some goodies from Pendraken and see what new stuff you are bringing out
Bernie
I'm in.
I've just been through my bank statements.
I have £1 for the rest of the month.
Lend me 20p!
Not forgetting the Dunstable Generals and their 10mm game of Problus 1866 - table GM14.
Chris (no I won't be there myself)
On my list of games to see Chris :).
I took time out to visit Problus 1866, really nice looking game and those 10mm figures were very tempting but large amounts of 15mm and 6mm are stopping me :-( The guys spoke very highly of the BBB rules.
