Well there rather stunning
Well done sir, superb work
Those are superb! :)
Excellent - really good deep colours. I like the pikes in the middle.
Are they based on 40mm squares?
Very beautiful paints :-bd :-bd :-bd

Well done sir, superb work
I hope I wasnt being too presumptuous by calling you Sir and not Madam
Hard to believe they are 10mm, excellent photography and beautiful painting.
:) Rob
Brilliant !
Love 'em. :-bd
Cheers - Phil.
Stunning work - and so many of them !
Another source of LOA inspiration.
Phil
Faith, and oi don't see why dey's wearin' such fancy clothes and all to guard his feet!
Very nice!
Excellent work on a lovely figure range 8).
Fantastic work, I do like the large bases :)

Ian
Please don't tell me you painted the flags by hand ??
Just...ridiculously good.
Phil
Excellent painting, i do prefer the larger unit, it's making me think now, do i add more :-\, looking forward to seeing more of these.
kev
Thanks guys
the bases are 40 mm X 20mm fred12df. Based for FoG
Flags all hand painted Glorfindel, it's a part I really look forward to. I'm a bit of a flag junkie. Part of the reason I went for the Foot Guards first.
:-bd =D> :-bd =D> :-bd
That's even more impressive! I just asked Flags of War to rescale to 10mm.

Lovely stuff!! Great painting, doing this period too so very interested in how you progress. :-bd :-bd
Brilliant. It's amazing what you can do with great figures. :)

You know it makes sense! :D ;)
This is exactly what I meant on another thread. Superb painting and a good "mass" effect. Congrats, redstef! :-bd :-bd :-bd
Lovely work on both figures and flags.
Agreed. Excellent paint work, especially the flags. Also, admire your ambition with the 60 figure(?) unit size - very impressive.
:-bd
Oh my word but those are lovely!
>>Flags all hand painted Glorfindel, it's a part I really look forward to. I'm a bit of a flag junkie. Part of the reason I went for the Foot Guards first.
You have a very steady hand - the detail and colour on your flags is spectacular.
Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to paint a few more units up and give
them flags which are just as good as those...
Superb stuff.
Phil
Really nice and those flags are superb.
Cheers Al.

Beautifully!
He said he wasn't happy with the detail on the Gard de voet, but they are superb!

Agreed !!
Those are belting !! :-bd
Cheers - Phil
They are really rather excellent.
Brill! 8)
Superb and they would really stand out on the table 8).
Superb work, well done. Again, the flags are amazing.
I must admit that I've chosen to paint up slightly smaller units
(48 figures). Even that is a real challenge. With the larger units
you have chosen to do, I'll be they look magnificent on the tabletop.
Looking forward to more Regiments.
Phil
They look magnificent, the large units you do are brilliant. So look the part. :-bd :-bd :-bd
Those are amazing. I'm jealous at how you're able to make the clothes have that flowing look - I'm struggling with that a little bit; maybe I should be a little more daring with the highlights?
The painted flag is brilliant as well! Keep it up!
This has brightened up an otherwise rubbish day for me. Thank you.
What's up Clib?
Nothing serious really; spent the day cleaning mould lines and making minor repairs to some 28mm masters. Got though one set, about 30 figures, in seven hours. Really tedious mind numbing work. The problem is because they are masters there's three sets to do, so I've got two more days of this to look forward to. Just got me down a bit.
Truly outstanding! :)
:-bd =D> :-bd =D> :-bd
Missed this all together but my god are they beautiful... compliments!
Cheers,
Rob
'In Hoc Signo Vincit'
Superb.
Goodness gracious, what absolutely splendid photos. Rather wish i was into that period myself now.

As part of the Cork garrison this Regiment was better equipped, taking the French supplied arms early, so I did the 1st Btn with a 5:1 ratio but thought he might not get away with it for so many men and did the 2nd Btn as a 2:1
Clanrickarde's Regiment
(http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag74/Redstaf/Clanrickarde%201_zpshwxlxmmd.jpg) (http://s1299.photobucket.com/user/Redstaf/media/Clanrickarde%201_zpshwxlxmmd.jpg.html)

All of my Irish regiments will have an alternate flag stand so I can use them as Dutch in Flanders, but I wanted to do a less uniformed look with a few half pikes on one of them, Clanrickarde's was chosen. A poorly equipped unit, so I used all matchlocks for the firearms instead of a flintlock/matchlock mix.
Lord have mercy, they are lovely 8)
They ARE a bit special !! :-bd
Cheers - Phil
Awesome 8)
Probably as well I'm not into that period after all as I could not get them to look like that - try as I might.
uaaauuuuuuu!!!!!!!!!!
Very nice, and very big units!
Great work.
When you look at the detail in each figure, the number of figures per unit and consider it's all in 10mm, it's quite staggering. Superb, Redstef! :-bd
Now those are what I call battalions! And beautifully painted to boot - congratulations :o =D> =D> =D>
Mollinary
:-bd =D> :-bd =D> :-bd
I really do like these, unit size is great

Simply superb work once again 8)
Those are gorgeous!
Wow, those are really nice!
8)
What an ensemble, some of the best work I've ever seen, and the right side too !
What all the others already said and more!
Such big units! I though i was going quite big with 45 or so figures, but yours are 60 or so. They do look very impressive.
:-bd =D> :-bd =D> :-bd
Wow, that's some really lovely work there!
These and your Williamites taken together is an impressive amount of work and so well done. Hope we'll see them soon in action against each other.
Awesome !! :-bd
Cheers - Phil
Breathtakingly beautiful, particularly the cavalry. The sculpts are amazingly animated , and the painting really makes them zing. I would love to see them on a table.
:-bd =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

Is apotheosis!!!
Bloody hell, they are more than just a bit good :D
I really like how the colours pop!
Stunning :)
This is some really wonderful work!
Yes, they really are terrific. Good to see them again (posted last December). I can almost hear the thunder of hooves when I look at the cavalry and, when you look at the massed infantry, you feel as if you are looking at a proper army. :-bd
