Excellent - really good deep colours. I like the pikes in the middle.

Are they based on 40mm squares?

Thanks guys
the bases are 40 mm X 20mm fred12df. Based for FoG

Flags all hand painted  Glorfindel,  it's a part I really look forward to. I'm  a bit of a flag  junkie. Part of the reason I went for the Foot Guards first.

You have a very steady hand - the detail and colour on your flags is spectacular.

Your mission, if you choose to accept it, is to paint a few more units up and give
them flags which are just as good as those...

Superb stuff.

Superb work, well done.   Again, the flags are amazing.

I must admit that I've chosen to paint up slightly smaller units
(48 figures).   Even that is a real challenge.   With the larger units
you have chosen to do, I'll be they look magnificent on the tabletop.

Looking forward to more Regiments.

Those are amazing. I'm jealous at how you're able to make the clothes have that flowing look - I'm struggling with that a little bit; maybe I should be a little more daring with the highlights?

The painted flag is brilliant as well! Keep it up!

Post by: clibinarium on 13 September 2015, 06:50:47 PM
Nothing serious really; spent the day cleaning mould lines and making minor repairs to some 28mm masters. Got though one set, about 30 figures, in seven hours. Really tedious mind numbing work. The problem is because they are masters there's three sets to do, so I've got two more days of this to look forward to. Just got me down a bit.

(http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag74/Redstaf/Boisseleau%202nd%20Btn%202_zpsrqbfiigl.jpg) (http://s1299.photobucket.com/user/Redstaf/media/Boisseleau%202nd%20Btn%202_zpsrqbfiigl.jpg.html)

As part of the Cork garrison this Regiment was better equipped, taking the French supplied arms early, so I did the 1st Btn with a 5:1 ratio but thought he might not get away with it for so many men and did the 2nd Btn as a 2:1

Clanrickarde's Regiment
(http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag74/Redstaf/Clanrickarde%201_zpshwxlxmmd.jpg) (http://s1299.photobucket.com/user/Redstaf/media/Clanrickarde%201_zpshwxlxmmd.jpg.html)

(http://i1299.photobucket.com/albums/ag74/Redstaf/Clanrickarde%202_zps37opvguv.jpg) (http://s1299.photobucket.com/user/Redstaf/media/Clanrickarde%202_zps37opvguv.jpg.html)
All of my Irish regiments will have an alternate flag stand so I can use them as Dutch in Flanders, but I wanted to do a less uniformed look with a few half pikes on one of them, Clanrickarde's was chosen. A poorly equipped unit, so I used all matchlocks for the firearms instead of a flintlock/matchlock mix.

Yes, they really are terrific. Good to see them again (posted last December). I can almost hear the thunder of hooves when I look at the cavalry and, when you look at the massed infantry, you feel as if you are looking at a proper army.  :-bd
