That is about street furniture useful for WWII to modern range and for sci fi, zombies, rioting, etc...

- newspaper kiosk
- sewer entrance
- subway entrance
- traffic signs (scuare, circle, triangle)
- trash cans
Drunk in gutter.
Lady of the night.
Halfway between the gutter and the stars!
Placed on this isthmus of a middle state,
A being darkly wise and rudely great;
Created half to rise, and half to fall,
Great lord of all things, yet a prey to all...
Mmmm, I can write when I try.
Very nice FK.
Like the metaphor and scansion pattern too.

I must send you the novel I've written set in early 19th century Russia.
Some of those items are available in the N-scale railway I think, especially lampposts and traffic signs.

I thought it was better in Alexander Pope's longer version. :-\

Just did a quick look on ebay and found under 'n-guage railways', then 'scenary' or 'buildings':
various types of street lamps
various banks
various newspaper kiosks
various subway entrances
various traffic signs (square, circular, and triangular)
various rubbish bins / trash cans / and wheely bins
The only thing I could not find straight away is a sewer entrance.
The actual cost of the above seemed very reasonable, so perhaps this time eBay might be a good place to look. ;)

Yeah but he cheats, it was all written down in the bible and spell-checked years ago
Alexander Pope (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alexander_Pope), Fenton, rather than Pope Alexander (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Alexander_VIII). Not so much biblical as bibliographical :)
Street barricades would be nice - tram cars, cars, house-furniture and a grand piano.
Yes i've watched too many late WW2 films :D
barricades would be easy - from the various accessories floating around.
