Hello.
New to forum and generally incompetent with computers. Any advice on posting some pics? I try , but it says "file too large". Im using pics from my cell phone. Id like to post some pics of my minis, but have failed so far. Any advice or tips?
Sign up for a photobucket account and up load them to there. On my tablet I use an app called photo resizer which is pretty simple to use
Uploading them through your message is difficult as there's a maximum attachment allowance of only 128kb, to stop us from clogging up the forum server. The best way, as Fenton says, is to host them somewhere else, like Photobucket or a blog/Facebook and then link them from there.
To do that, right click on the image you want to link, and click on the 'Copy Image Location' option. Then come over to the Forum, click the little picture icon when you're typing your message (above the grinning smiley face) and then 'Paste' the image location in between the image brackets, so you get something looking like this:
[img ] IMAGE LOCATION [ /img] (without the spaces, I've had to put them in to make the code appear visible!)

Ok, thanks! I have photobucket- I'll try that when i get some spare time.
Look at the photos topic where I have posted a thread on using Photobucket to post pictures.
If you want to post from the phone without hosting elsewhere and linking, email them to yourself and when it asks if you want to send at X size choose one that sends it small enough you can then download it back and upload it to the site as an attachment. It's a bit counter intuitive but I've found it's easy in practise and no fiddling with HTML or tiny screens trying other methods :)
Thanks for all the help everyone. Is it a 128kb limit?

Yeah, afraid so, as it would clog up the server too quickly if we allowed bigger files.

I pretty sure 128k limit only applies to photos attached to your post. If you link to the picture in your photo bucket there is no limit.
Linking is fine, just uploads to the site are capped :)
