The goal of this thread is to collect the collective wisdom when it comes to using Pendraken 10mm miniature ranges in order to proxy forces that are not represented by dedicated lines. To organize the discussion let us keep this thread targeted to conflicts between 1815 and 1914.
If you can post pictures of your proxies that will also help.
I used Rugga-rugga, Masai, ancient Sarmatians, Roman clibanarii, Dacians, velites, and Numidians for most of my Abyssinian army. It looks reasonably convincing, and adds an interesting opponent for Fuzzy-Wuzzy (and can also legitimately fight the Gyppoes and the Limeys).

What else could US Union troops be used for ? My thinking is that they are ok for
1) Mexican Republicans in the War against Maximilian and France.
2) Chileans and Peruvians in the War of the Pacific, especially the three first campaigns phase.
3) In limited use Brazilians, Argentinians (6th Infantry Battalion) of the Lopez War?
4) Boshin War troops?
5) 1897 Greeks?
What are your thoughts on these proxies?

Have you seen this range 1879-1884 South American Pacific War under the 19th Century, might be useful

Just ordered the Osprey book on the 'War of the Triple Alliance' and from the pics in the preview, the ACW troops look a great match for a lot of the troops. When said book arrives I will have a better idea of what is suitable from the range.
On another note, I would have thought that the Afghans from the following range would work nicely for North Africa and parts of the Balkans.

Ditto the Moroccans from the SCW Range.
