A young Indian Brave goes to visit the chief of his tribe
Young Brave : "Hail Great chief! Is it true that you have named all the young children of the tribe?
Great Chief : Yes it is true. When your cousin was born I came out of my Tee Pee and saw an eagle flying above me and so named him Flying Eagle. When your sister was born I came out my Tee Pee and saw a Deer come out of the forrest and called her Running Deer. Why do you ask Two Dogs Bonking?"
How fitting; ripping off Mr Pratchett after his lifetime doing it to others.

Ehh? I heard that joke when I was at primary school in the mid-70's. And the word used was not 'bonking', even then.
Not sure where Pratchett comes in. Did he use the joke in one of his books?
Cheers, Martyn

Reaper Man.
The version I remember from primary school (back in the 50's - eek!) was:
"In my tribe we are named by our fathers for the first animal he sees and the action it is performing. When my older brother was born my father saw a bear rear up on it's hind legs, so he is called Standing Bear, when my sister was born my father saw a deer run past and so she is called Running Deer ... you can call me Two Dogs."
There are two types of people in the world, those who can extrapolate from incomplete data.
Also.
"When a thing has been said and said well, have no scruple. Take it and copy it." ― Anatole France
Oscar Wilde: "I wish I had said that."
James McNeill Whistler: "You will, Oscar, you will."
My students are failing like flies on that system.

Suitably edited for the more delicate of the Forum. :)
Wasn't this from a film? :-\
