Title: Chinese!
Post by: Le Manchou on 31 March 2015, 01:12:00 PM
Hi, I noted that Chinese ancient armies don't exist yet in 10mm and it's a shame. So my requests would be Zhou, three kingdoms, Qing, Han and Sung dynasty armies (a good opponent to Mongols for the last one) as well as barbarians.

I'll support the Chinese army requests but I would point out that another manufacturer does do Qin Chinese, although not up up to Pendraken standard of course.

Cheers

Preview seems to work most of the time for me using Safari on an iPad but not when using Firefox on Windows 8.1 laptop :-/

They have a few, but they're not enough in themselves (and I have to agree, the standard is below P.'s). Newlines is talking about an ancient Chinese range too, but all in all, that's more reason to get going. More choice is likely to mean a livelier market in the era.

I suppose you mean Sung? If so, you could make do with Irregular Miniatures and Kallistra for the present. It's the earlier stuff that is so unintelligibly underrepresented.

Hey, Le Manchou, do you think the Chinese authorities would let you borrow some of their nice terracotta figures? They've got enough of them for a good wargame.  ;)

Yep, I have a shedload of Irregular Sung and they are reasonably compatible for mixed armies units but not mixed unit armies if you know what I mean.

I know this is an older post but I'd love to get several different eras of ancient Chinese in 10mm I'd buy em all. Along with the Yue tribes and such.

Anyway, it's Tang that are most glaringly absent, despite their historical importance and range of enemies.

I'd be interested in some 12-13th century Chinese too.
