Title: Changable 28mm flags- best way?
Post by: Last Hussar on 31 March 2015, 01:31:25 AM
I've got a few Perry's War of the Roses figures, and want to use the flags that come with them.  I also might want to be able to change the flags so I can reconfigure the units (for Lion Rampant).

Obviously I don't glue the flag on the staff - what's the easiest/best way to stop them dropping down the complete length of the shaft?

Very fine brass tubing, bitch to cut, but it sits over the flagpole, and you can change as you wish.

If you have some spare banners/spears, cut one up in thin 'discs' and glue that to the top of the flag where it gos over the pole. the flag can still go over, but the pole can't go through.

drill out the hand of the figure so that alternate flag poles can be used. you can then keep an array of flags safely on their poles stuck into oasis/cork or polystyrene blocks. Also means less fiddling around for each different flag
