When your hamster dies, mince and boil in syrup, then use to fertilize tulips.
There's even a song about it....

And you suggest I need therapy? :o
the kids may be a hard sell on that one :-\
Although when I was at Uni our 'associates' had a hamster at their house which was poorly treated, drugs and alcohol (maybe women as well, I don't know..) anyway it died behind the sofa and was just left. Eventually someone put a sign on it 'Please bury me'. I think it eventually amalgamated with the carpet.
The point was the song: Tulips from Hamster Jam.
