Some interesting if slightly nerdy stuff from YOUTUBE; interesting to see the original Lorenz round with the (?) zinc stud in the base.

Great stuff! Many thanks for these. Bearing in mind the conditions of firing, the 100m results make one wonder what chance a conscript firing at 300m with a hundred equally qualified colleagues had of hitting the target! :oIncidentally, I assume the Wenzl 1854/67 is the conversion of the original muzzle loading Lorenz Extracorpsgewehr M1854 (used in 1866) to a breechloading version after the war of 1866? :D

You are probably correct b :(
Meantime, plus ca change ...... 'The first convoy, comprising 39 vehicles with 135 soldiers, crossed the Czech-Polish border in Nachod, at 10:36 CEST Sunday. It arrived in Pardubice, east Bohemia, where the soldiers would spend the night, at around 16:00'
29th March 2015 ... and they were Americans
Oh heck!
Spent far too long fighting over Nachod!
