Great stuff!   Many thanks for these. Bearing in mind the conditions of firing, the 100m results make one wonder what chance a conscript firing at 300m with a hundred equally qualified colleagues had of hitting the target!  :oIncidentally, I assume the Wenzl 1854/67 is the conversion of the original muzzle loading Lorenz Extracorpsgewehr M1854 (used in 1866) to a breechloading version after the war of 1866?  :D

Meantime, plus ca change  ......  'The first convoy, comprising 39 vehicles with 135 soldiers, crossed the Czech-Polish border in Nachod, at 10:36 CEST Sunday. It arrived in Pardubice, east Bohemia, where the soldiers would spend the night, at around 16:00'
