I was listening to some of the kids in the playground playing "would you rather" today and it made me ponder a few of my own...
Feel free to answer or post one of yours:
Would you rather paint 30 horses or complete 30 bases?
Bases. Every time.
I'd go with the horses on this one; I freaking hate basing >:(
Would you rather spend the day as Techno, or just spend the day inflicting minor injuries on yourself?
Latter, it's the same thing but I'd be younger :D
Would you rather play the club alcoholic or the club rules lawyer?
Good one...
Can't I watch them play each other?
Erm...
If I had to pick I'd go with the alcoholic and get pi$$ed too :D

Would I wind up playing with myself? :-[ :-[ :-[

I refer the honourable gentleman to the answer I gave earlier :D
Bases or Horses - neither, wish I had enough money to send my figures away for someone else to paint. just want to play.
Club alcoholic or rules lawyer - neither, thankfully the club doesn't have the former and those in the latter category largely play WH/Trading Cards.

Just dine three hours of basing. Rather enjoyed it, as I did painting the horses too!
Would you rather roll bad dice at every crisis, or have your English reduced to the competence-level of *********?
Would you rather own Pendraken or GW? (and you're not allowed to sell GW to buy Pendraken).
Ooooh! You're highlighting the difference between "Dark" and "Evil". (I say "Dark", it's more a deep plum colour but "the Deep Plum Coloured Lord" isn't vary catchy.)
That's a tough question. If one owned GW one could have sufficient money to buy all the Pendraken goodies one wanted, but would have to scrap any morals that one has. If one owned Pendraken, one would would 25 hours a day, for no money, but would have the satisfaction of knowing one was contributing to the good of humanity.
On the other hand, if one owned Pendraken, one would own something that was pretty much complete as a business model, but if one owned GW one would have a massive challenge to transform the business into something viable and ethical.
On the other hand, if one owned GW, one could cow one's customers as they are over-rich teenagers who have a slavish addiction to the brand, but if one owned Pendraken one's customers are mostly middle aged, grumpy and impoverished.
If you owned Pendraken would one also get access to the Dark Eldrich powers? They could be very useful in, for example transplanting warts from one person to another. I just ask as it could be a decider. :-[
Would you rather game with a large army of useless units, or a small army of elite?
Since I hardly get to roll a die these days FK, I would have to let my luck go...

Useless, I love loads of foot dross.
Swing on a star, carry moonbeams home in a jar, be better off than you are or be a pig? :)
Pig. Provided no-one was going to eat me. I've worked as a pig farmer, kept well, they're happy animals :)
Greta Pig is an Oink. :P
I'm planning to refight Pork's Drift this weekend, actually.

Me too. And then maybe Thermopiglyae. :)

What about Pork Arthur, Sueey-vla Bay, Battle of the River Plate of Bacon Sarnies, Boarodino, The invasion of the islands of Sowpan and Oinkinawa - THE BATTLE OF PORK CHOP HILL, anything with Butcher Cumberland?
I dunno. Sometimes think you're just not trying. :P

No, I don't have anything better to do this afternoon. I live in Runcorn.
In the American Revolution, there was the Battle of Brandyswine.
(Have to give clues. There are some people who haven't heard of Cannae!)

Hamillies and El Hamalein.

Welcome to the inanity contest Lemmey!
Battle of La Hog-ue. Can't remember, but it's clip clop, pop pop.

And now apparently, snort, snort, grunt, grunt. Wait a minute. Clip, clop? Wasn't that a naval battle?
[ :-\ Maybe The Black Pig was part of the fleet? Oh, well, if it was good enough for Captain Pigwash, it's good enough for me.]
I am told there was also a Battle of Scotch Corner, 71 AD. Nothing to do with Scotch Eggs ....... but it might have been.
Besides, it was fought between the Romans and the Pigantes. :)
Hamburger hill? Technically speaking.
Anyone else craving bacon?
I could go a bacon sarnie; you got the frying pan on?
No, just the usual twin set and pearls.
I believe Techno's in his smoking jacket though.

Sellers and Everett - two great comedy geniuses!
:-[ :-[ :-[ :-[
Well.....My better half was almost laughing hysterically when I came in from the bonfire, because my face was even more covered in sooty ash than Peter Sellers in that clip....
(I dunno how though..honest...I promise I didn't actually fall in the fire.)
I remember the Kenny Everett from the first time it was broadcast....... Mrs Techno doesn't let me do DIY, because of the episode when I nearly put a drill bit into her chest. X_X
Honest officer...I was handing the drill down from the ladder when I pulled the trigger....and it sort of grabbed her sweatshirt. (Sure I've told you that one before)

I would quite happily play Epicand Warmaster if I was forced to only play them
As long as it wasnt Borehammer or Fartykay most of the rest are pretty OK.
1) Titan Legions
2) Space Marine
3) Space Hulk
4) Warmaster
5) Dark Future
All of the above were pretty ok games on their time.
One other question for you gents, if the above list were re-released, how many of you would rush out and buy a copy (or possibly several)?
I would buy Space Marine (again) and would also add to my Warmaster stuff if it was the same size but GW have a habit of making their new stuff incompatible with their old stuff.
Battlefield Gothic was ok as well

It was, like Space Marine, until they added bigger and bigger stuff!
GW modus operandi, create reasonable game, add stupidly hard must have units, milk the clientele, wreck the game balance and then ditch it!

Yeah, I've sold some stuff that I still want but, I know I'll never use them so, on balance, I'm better off with the money ;)
Hmm, I still have all of those ... and Necromunda, Mordheim, Battle Masters, Bloodbowl, Heroquest, the original Mighty Empires and three different versions of Talisman, gods know why, I don't really like the game!!
