I was expecting to be disapointed this morning as the cloud had been thickening for a couple of hours, but there were a some very brief bright spots and I managed to get this

Nice one...
IanS
Well done, Dan ! :-bd
We could have done with some cloud cover over here....Which is somewhat ironic !! ;D ;D ;D
Cheers - Phil
Nice camera work.
Better than we saw :(
Very much like I saw over Formby.
Nice shot sir :)
Didn't dare to look directly at the eclipse so the pic much appreciated, Dan. Good pic. :-bd
Total non-event down here. It went a bit gloomy, like the build-up to a big storm, but that was it. :( :( :(

Oh, he's got that "in hand " already :D
I'm sure he can hold his own.
My office looks over the Travelodge. My experience of the eclipse was sitting at my desk being aware that every now and then a large, bald, naked man would peer through the curtains of his hotel room before disappearing again for a few moments. At one point he wore a t-shirt, but at his next appearance he was again as the day he was born.
I think he may have been very excited to witness the eclipse.

...'Nuff said. ;)
Cheers - Phil
:o :-t X_X :-& :-& :-& :-& could be said too!

Is Orcs on holiday in Runcorn?
Belive me - no one but no one goes on holiday to Runcorn. BTW in referance to another post - there is no Asda, just a TESCO and Morrisons.
IanS
So where the hell has Nobby been going at 2am then?
Exactly. No ASDA in Runcorn? :o
FSN, what are these tablets you are on?
According to ASDA'S website, they've got a 'superstore' in Runcorn. :-\
I feel a conspiracy theory beginning. ;)
Cheers - Phil
Shockarooney! :o
Right IanS. Explain yourself. :-w
[Question is, what tablets is IanRS on?]

Asda's website also said my local opened at 09:00 during the Xmas to New Year break, but when I went there to look for new TV I was very abruptly told "Nope, we open at 10", so don't believe everything you read on the web.
Tesco got my money instead.
Cheers, Martyn

For all I know Asda's web page is lying.....Or something sinister is afoot.
I think we should be told.
Cheers - Phil.
There's no Morrisons in Runcorn. :-\, and I think they've closed the TESCO down, or it got eaten by bears.
There's a Morrisons in Widnes, and an ASDA and the 2nd biggest TESCO in the UK . In fact, Widnes is now 24% TESCO.
The ASDA in Runcorn is virtually cut off just now by the road works. They're building another bridge and diverting the roads so that nobody can ever find their way to Runcorn. It'll be like Brigadoon, appearing out of the fog once every 100 years for a refill of Fosters and kebab meat.
Though thinking again, I may just have been in next door's kitchen at 2am. Could explain why she was in her pyjamas. :-[
And why they had run out of Irn Bru. :-\

Did you scream 'Arrrggh Aztecs!" and run out
You say Widnes is 24% Tesco...Is that like an Ebola outbreak?

Nobby in a kilt :o :-SS X_X
There's a court order says I'm not allowed to wear them any more.
Apparently, I frightened the horses. :-[

Indeed. Following on his success with the movie,
JFK, I hear Oliver Stone now plans a new conspiracy movie located in Runcorn with the working title ..................
FSN (!)
So far, tentative negotiations have been conducted with
Kevin Costner Ricky Tomlinson in the frame for the lead role! =D>
Oooooh! Can't wait! 8->
Wha! My Arrrrsda!
;D ;D
