Really been enjoying painting my Napoleonic French and Russian forces, my problem is on the Russian Dragoon figure NMR9. What is hanging at is side I think one is a musket but no idea what the other thing is, hoping someone can shed some light on it for me. Thanks everyone have a great weekend.
All the best
Sean
I have not seen the miniature so apologies for guessing. However, it was common in the 18th Century to see an iron shod wooden picket stake strapped to the carbine (so reasonable to expect that would also be the case in the early 19th Century?).
With that in mind, is that what it now looks like?
probably not - your an addicted wargamer.
Sorry! could not resist that.
Unfortunately Nappys aret my strong point, even more so Russian ones
Why not follow my golden rule,
If in doubt, paint it black!
In 10mm you can get away with it.
Thanks very much Westmarcher, now I look at the figure I'm sure that's what it is, as my own guess was way off. I appreciate your help :-bd :-bd, Thanks again for everyone's help have a great weekend,
Sean
You're welcome Seano. I'm pretty sure that's what it is (but, if in doubt, I too would follow Gordon's approach!). Regards.
