The Astrakhanski Dragoons have now joined the Czar's army, completing the first cavalry brigade. These figures are from the marlburian range, rather than the true GNW figures, but they seem to sit together reasonably well.
Here they are mounted

And, yes, the standards really were that big. They're said to have been almost as big as the infantry colours. Must have been a nightmare in a strong wind.

Nice work, Ray!
Mollinary :D
They are nice.
Lovely stuff. At this scale I wouldn't be able to tell GNW from Marlburian, probably not in 28mm either!
Great work Ray, you have a lovely army there, i was very impressed with them in the painting comp.

Superb =D>
How do you historical boys do that "info on the base" thing? :-\
White stripe on the back with words, or underneath for names...

nice stuff (again) Ray
;)
If only I could do piping and trim like that...
Love the bases, too! Especially the game stats; they don't detract from the rest of the unit. Cool!

Just a strip of printed paper, GG, overlaid with extra-clear sticky tape so that they can be written on with a spirit pen and then rubbed clean when the game's over.
And thank you, one and all, for your kind words. :)

I'm still looking for unridden 18th Century horses. Any suggestions?
And thanks, Bunny. Too kind.
