It seems like almost everything is a remake or sequel these days, so will anyone be venturing to the cinema for any of these:
Mad Max:
Star Wars:
Terminator - Genisys:
:-\
Hollywood will remake anything that promises a fast buck. But they all seem to be uniformly c**p. Can anyone remember a re-make that wasn't?
Yes, Yes, No, respectively :)
No - DVD or Netflix.
Yes, probably. I have friends (real ones - not imaginary) who drag me out to the cinema regularly.
DVD.....When they're cheaper ! ;)
Cheers - Phil
Costs me about 3:50 a film these days, sometimes less. Depends how often I get to the cinema. So it's cheaper in the summer when the weather's good and I can be bothered to make the trip to the place than in winter when I'd rather just huddle at home than go out and get wet and cold.
Nope. I much prefer Chinese/Japanese/R.o.Korea historical action films.
In fact I'm much more excited about Asian cinema nowadays than anything made in Lalaland.
Herr Hitler seems mightily disappointed in J J Abrams efforts. A three-bladed light sabre does appear to be a little over the top.
This is the film I am most excited about this year:

Nope.

This is the one I'm looking forward to.
i think it just shows that big film companies are unwilling to fund anything new or original. They just want to use brands that already exist and remake them "new and better" (usually ending up much worse)
Agree. Looking at the films coming out they're most franchise/sequal (Bond, Ted, etc) or remakes (Man from Uncle). What's new seems to be a bit of a rehash.
Kingsman is brilliant. I laughed, I gasped, I had something stuck in my throat. I'd go and see it again tomorrow, but the trailers prior to the Kingsman were for three films that were basically the same film with a different lead. Liam Nielsen was one, and the rest were a blur of gritted teeth, gunshots and squealing tyres.
Perhaps there are no more stories to tell?

Might watch Mad Max if my daughter fancies going to see it.
Kingsman was excellent - A good film with some really good lines. One from a very attractive lady near the end was very funny (and rude). I was still laughing about it as I left the cinema, despite severe dig in the ribs from Mrs Orcs
I know the line you mean. ;D ;D ;D
Favourite film last year was The Grand Budapest Hotel ; wonderfully insane :)
Anyone who has a favourite film hasn't watched enough films :)
