I've got some of those little camp fires, they paint up a treat.

Look forward to seeing the finished project  ;)

Here is early work on Protestant troops which go with the camps...

I am actually going to add a cart & horse to the one camp.  Or do a camp which is more a baggage train.  Not sure yet.

An old woman rather than a horse. You'll gain lots of cred with literate viewers.

OK.  Cite me a Pendraken figure and I'll tack it on my next 'hit'.  :-\

One of the female beggars, perhaps? And there's a female in a bonnet (I use that one as a Boer civilian). I'm sure Leon can advise.

Looking good, the camps are an interesting concept, I never bother much with details like that but when you see what you have done I can see the benefits of doing it.

I just couldn't do the bare template anymore.  :o

You could add some minis in there, like command minis, or civilians.

This is cool.

I got peasants in the same order, but not enough.  They went into a unit of 'angry farmers' that got involved in the war.  I may add a pack of foot command to my next 'hit' and put a few of those out.

Thanks for all the kind words!  Looking for more thoughts of additions.  8)

I'm already planning #3, and #1 isn't done yet.   ;)

You might consider a socket into which you could pop whatever standard was appropriate to the army encamped there. A dog or two might also look good.
Just my three thalers' worth.

Three Thalers? That's a month's pay!

Seriously, though, there's nothing like a well-executed camp to enliven a battlefield.  8)

Have you seen the way some of those TYW characters dress - now that is camp.

Hmmm, an execution scene would also add a certain je ne sais quoi.
