Title: Pendraken SYW Article
Post by: Leman on 05 March 2015, 01:16:21 PM
Wargames - soldiers & Strategy issue 77 has a four page article on painting Pendraken SYW figures. As well as being a great advert for 10mm figures, Pendraken in particular, it bis also a useful article for painting using highlights. It also compares this method to the paint and wash technique, which is the system I prefer. The pone downside is that the author has opted for 6 figures to the base, rather my own preference for 8, which I think gives a much better representation of linear warfare. Nevertheless it is great to see Pendraken getting a four page article in a top magazine. [Cue jokes about Pendraken Amazons in a top shelf magazine]

Well done, I'll have to wait for a month or so before it makes the shop here ;)

Yes I do mean one shop, a specialist magazine shop that is fortunately close to work  ;)

Got it yesterday afternoon and had a look at it last night, good article and the Pendraken figures look lovely in the glossy mag. Good inspirational read for my own project. :-bd

I've just seen this now, some great pics in there.  There's been quite a few 10mm articles recently, always good to get some more 10mm exposure in the wargames magazines.

Thats true Leon, since I came over to 10mm and 6mm I have hardly looked at my 28mm figures and I am really considering selling the lot and solely concentrating on the smaller scale gaming.

I am going to probably keep my ECW and AWI projects in 28mm and get rid of everything else I have and concentrate on my 10mm and 6mm projects. Best thing i have done was coming onto this forum, the inspiration I get from it is awesome! :-bd :-bd
