Glad it's not just me that does it; I have a particular skill at burying stuff inside tool boxes ~X(
I had an A4 sized box with all my 15mm ACW figures in and hunted high and low for them on and off for at least five years. Right in front of my computer desk was a shelf at eye-level. One day I just looked up at the shelf and realised that a a piece of paper had fallen forward and covered the front of the box. The thing had, quite literally, been right in front of my eyes the whole time!

They wasted so much money on stealth aircraft; they should have coated the planes in A4 paper instead!

Hence the saying 'hidden in plain sight'.

For sure, the amount of times I look for something that I'm actually holding is somewhat worrying >:(
Glasses for instance? :D

All the time, or the opposite, I go to adjust them but I'm not even wearing them 8-}
MEMORY
On the landing, here I stand.
With my slippers in my hand.
The only thing on which I'm clear,
I've no notion why I'm here.
I realise I've not a clue
What on earth I came to do.
Will it be clearer in the end,
If to my start point I descend?
I wouldn't feel like such a berk,
Except .... I'm doing this at work!
