Title: 3D pens
Post by: Dunnadd on 27 February 2015, 12:21:16 AM
Would 3D-pens be of any use for modelling masters for miniatures? From the descriptions (http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb_noss?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=3D%20pens) and videos (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6r5q9T_7u8A) they seem to be sort of like a high-tech cross between a pen and a soldering iron, but for plastics rather than metal

From my experience in the industry, they would be too crude in terms of the detail they could achieve. Also a lot would depend upon the base material that they use to print with. Interesting concept though.
