Title: Exciting News
Post by: fsn on 19 February 2015, 01:28:54 PM
I am so thankful to Fenton who PM'd me with the opportunity, which, he insisted is only for the very few. He's been kind enough to let me in, and I'm sure he won't mind if I spread the news a bit. Fentonini are doing a partwork in which you get to build your own real life Centurion Mk III in 2,423 weekly parts.

Part 1 arrived today. It was a washer! I also got a free springy thing! And a leaflet! Part 1,245 is the build instructions! and part 2,400 is the 105mm gun!

The introductory price is only £5.95 a week!

So thank you Fenton!  >:<

No worries

I saw it advertised on the back of Look and Learn. The problem I have with it is that  after sending off my postal order for 1.26 to join the 'Tank Club' I finally received back a list of the issues and what part of the tank you got with each issue

So after the washer in issue one it really does look like it builds up to an exciting opportunity to have your own tank at home

Sadly the special screwdriver and spanner needed to join it all together doesn't arrive until issue 498 :-\

Apparently, in issue 2,127 you get an optional conversion kit:

Whatever you do , don't copy Reverend Jim in Taxi and build it in your front room...especially if you live in an upstairs flat!

Six horses....Six of the chickens.....12 big round bales of hay, and a horse trailer :P
If you took everything out, you would just have enough room to build that enormous WWII German tank (that never saw the light of day) we were talking about months ago.

No.....Those live in comfort inside Techno Towers, until they get crated up to the Dark Lord.  ;)
Me ?.....Work outside, in the cold ?.....I think not !  ;)

I went for the Tardis series.
Sometimes I would get parts for issues I hadn't bought yet; other times they wouldn't materialise. Then, one day, when I was nearly finished, I was suddenly back at the start again.
Never again. Ten long years ..........

I tried to build the invisible man week by week; I'd just glued the last piece and the phone rang.  When I came back, could I find him?
