Nice one!
Question (for anyone really): One of my first hobby games was GW's Man O'War, a fantasy naval fleet battles game where you controlled multiple ships - In Dreadfleet do you control only the one ship?
I'm just curious, as to how Man O'War developed, really.
Storming!
Love the ground sheet as well :D
Superb! Masterclass in painting water please :)
:-bd :-bd :-bd
WOW...love those. :-bd :-bd :-bd
I toyed with the idea as I loved Man o war, but they were just too big, huge floating fortresses didn't really appeal to me.
Haven't got a clue what they are but they are striking nonetheless. The base sheet really sets them off a treat.
Wonderful painting.
Thanks all!

you can control 1-5 ships depending on the scenario/number of players.

I paint the bases using only 4 colours (mind you, some names will have changed but you can find them in the paint compatability chart)
So here are the 4 steps:
1: basecoat the base in enchanted blue
2: wash with thraka green wash, make sure yiou use enough to cover the base
3: medium-heavy drybrush with lightning blue
4: light drybrush with white on he edges of the waves (foaming)
The green wash makes the water look more real. It's rare that deep wather has a natural blue tone,So the green wash makes it look more real to me. You can change the blue paints if you want, just make sure you have a dark green wah to obtain this effect!
Thanks Peter
Thanks Peter, I've heard people talk of "green" water before. Cracking job ;)
Thanks for the colours too :)
I think the green is now Biel-Tan Green

Correct, and enchanted blue became Caledor Sky , and lightning blue became Teclis blue.
