I am in the process of sorting out a Napoleonic Bavarian army pack. I think I have figured out what the elites are. For the line, however, I seem to have three different march posses. Normally the packs have only two as in this picture: http://www.pendraken.co.uk/NBV1-p6720/. But here I have two different versions of the figure on the right in the picture (holding rifle with one hand and on a square base). The figures appear to be very similar, except that the cross belts are sculpted differently. Is this just an artistic variation or are they meant to represent a different unit type?
There are two poses of elites, one with a circular base and one with a square base?
In total, there should be 120 of these:

Plus 15 command figures:

16 of these, including one set of command:

Then 15 cavalry:

Many thanks for the comprehensive response. The curious thing is that I have the two elite marching figures (one on a round and one on a square base). But in addition I have three, rather than two, other marching figures (one on a round and two on square bases) , which is what confuses me. As said the differences are small but they are there so I was wondering what they could mean.
The light infantry battalions didn't carry flags so an extra guy with a plumed helmet is needed to make up the numbers in the four figure command group.

I'm not sure on that then, there aren't any other figures in that pose so I'm unsure what it could be? If you want to send the odd ones back, we can swop them for regular line?
Mysterious. The figures look good to me and are almost identical. Basically, it is just that in one version the left shoulder cross belt goes over the right shoulder cross belt and in the other version it is the opposite. I have no issue with that. I was just curious. If I make it to Crisis this year I might bring samples for edification.

That's a good point! We can pass things to one of our friends though if anyone wants to place a pre-order.
Not going to Crisis? That is a pity. Need an excuse to visit one of the UK wargame shows.

Unfortunately with all the costs involved getting over there it's just not viable for us anymore. We do know other traders who are going along though and would be able to bring any pre-orders with them.
