Absolutely correct, Gareth ! ;D ;D ;D ;D

I bought a load of Mininatur/Silfur 'grass' tufts at York, so I thought I'd try them out (with a few tufts belonging the Army Painter range) on the bases. Getting the practice in for the Mongols.

Yes....Seriously, Gareth :)
For all I know, it's in a box somewhere upstairs in the pole barn.
I've probably got (in total) a couple of shoe boxes of started/almost finished/completed greens, scattered around in various 'hidey holes'.
Cheers - Phil.
Nice work 8)
Thanks again

Next four bases (basing requiring finishing) - these were all done with the naked eye, but I think to paint clothing detailing in the future I'll have to use a magnifier to make sure it's as smooth and tidy as I can make it.

Agree on both counts ;)
I do love a bit o zombie action (in the wargame sense of the word) these are nice
I normally prefer my zombies to part of a fantasy Undead army but these are great!
Realy realy nice zombies. Very inspiring paint work, my compliments. Bravo!
Looks great!!
I got me a zombie army pack too, maybe it's time i start on the buggers :-\
May i suggest you enter them in the painting competition fantasy/sci fi category? They certainly belong there!!!

I second that.
Thank you all, gentlemen. :)
I'll see if I can finish up all of the zombies and enter them into the competition. I'd be needing to create a movement tray especially for the purpose of entering them, I believe (don't know if I've anything suitable to hand to meet the entry requirement there :-\)
You could always choose one base and enter that!
Or all togheter in the army category maybe?

They could go into the Open - Army category as they are, or you could form them up on a tray for entering into the Fantasy category.

Thanks for the information.
I've bought a sheet of hardboard from B&Q so will make a tray of some description for the unit (I just can't bring myself to call them an army, as there's too few in my opinion). Posting them in the Fantasy/Sci-Fi section.
Cheers again. :)

I painted up the zombie dogs with wound and gore, but to be honest I don't like them. It was suggested to me to paint them as flesh-less, with just the reddish musculature showing. I like that idea and may try it with some spare models in the future.

Nice job on those.
Look top notch to me.
Thanks everyone.
Only 10 more zombie bases to paint, 7 of survivors and then two vehicles.
Unless I buy some soldiers at Battleground to fight off the zombies :-\ :-\
They look amazing :) :)
Bum. Most of the previous photo's have disappeared due to my actions over on my blog. Sorry, about that.
I'll also just shove everything of mine in this one topic, from now on.
Photo'd these last night. I forgot to enter the base of survivors into the painting competition. ;D
The Land Rover base won't feature any grass.

Wonder how easy it would be to convert the one with a baseball bat to a Simon Pegg cricket bat...
Thanks all :)

Probably not hard. Square off the top of the bat and file down the sides to make straight edges, then add some greenstuff to make a broader blade.
If I've got a spare miniature I'll give it a go. Sculpt on a tie, while I'm at it. Name badge is a question of whether to sculpt or just paint.

Now, which albums to throw...
That's a fantastic base of figures.

Crooked Dice 7ombieTV to start with, at least.
I'll probably then cannibalise bits from other sets and add them on to that.
I'm not familiar with other zombie rules, and only bought the Crooked Dice ones as I liked the idea of it being a television show.
Pendraken need to create their own set of quick-play cheap-to-buy Zombie Rules covering what they produce ;) [HINT, Leon ;D ]
