Title: Eye Candy - 1/150 ship and Shanghai waterfront
Post by: GrumpyOldMan on 30 January 2015, 11:09:01 PM
Hi All

Just came across this ship that's become available:-

It's from a film about the Chinese Civil War:-

Here's a pic with a person to give some scale:-

And here's some shots of a diorama of the Shanghai waterfront made with the ship (needless to say I'm very jealous  :o):-

Info about the model here:-

I've found the cheapest at about $200A including shipping but still too rich for my poor wallet  :'( :'(

Cheers

Wholeheartedly agree. Terrific.

(Yet the crazy thing is, if that dock scene was shown in a film we'd say, "Oh, that's just a model!"  .... #-o)

Great diorama that would be perfect for some skirmish wargames. Sadly the ship is too big and too expensive for me.

Nice but too rich at that money.  For engagements with ships and aircraft I revert to 6mm.   I currently have a VBCW campaign in both 10mm and 6mm. The 6mm allows more space for items like big ships, but 10mm has the detail - more pleasing to the eye.   And at my age the eyesight becomes an issue.
