Title: Book on 1866
Post by: cameronian on 29 January 2015, 12:37:02 PM
Anyone heard of Heinrich Kuhne's "Kritische und unkritische Wanderungen uber die Gefechtsfelder der Preussieschen Armeen in Bohmen 1866" published in 1875 ? Freidjung says his is the best account of Nachod, Sweinstadel, Soor and Skalitz, anyone read it ? Would you recommend it ?

As mentioned in this other thread two months ago:
http://www.pendrakenforum.co.uk/index.php/topic,10898.45.html

According to Dr Murray, "Spencer Wilkinson reckoned the best analysis of the tactics of 1866 was by Moritz Kuehne, Kritische und Unkritische Wanderungen ueber die Gefechtsfelder der Preussischen Armeen in Boehmen 1866."

Which sounds like a recommendation to me.

Forgiveable - two months is a long time and a lot of Pendraken Forum posts, and so many of them priceless gems, it's easy to overlook one.  ;)
