Forgot about pne of the more  of the more important dates in British history


20th Janurary was the 750th anniversary of Simon de Monteforts  Parliament being held

Did I say that this was the anniversary of Robert Burns birthd........(oh, wait, I did have already .......) (I knew I should have waited for this thread to start ...mutter mutter ...)

And, apparently, on this day in 1915, Alexander Graham Bell in New York and Thomas Watson in San Francisco made a record telephone transmission (I think it was a wrong number).

I imagined the first call would have been someone asking Alexander Graham Bell if he'd like them to make a claim on his behalf for mis-sold PPI or asking if he'd be willing to take part in a consumer survey. :)

270th anniversary of the Battle of Culloden this year.
If I didn't have enough on my plate already I'd maybe do something in miniature to celebrate.
